Central PA Spray Foam
Central PA Spray Foam installs closed-cell spray foam and blown-in fiberglass insulation for homes, farms, and businesses in Harrisburg and the Capital Region, from Hershey to Camp Hill, Mechanicsburg, and Carlisle. Every project starts with a free inspection and an itemized estimate.
Harrisburg sits on the Susquehanna in the same central Pennsylvania climate we work in every day: cold, snowy winters, humid summers, and the freeze-thaw swings in between. Homes here lose heat in winter and take on moisture in summer through the same gaps: rim joists, attic floors, and the leaks around chimneys, plumbing stacks, and light fixtures.
That is why we lead with closed-cell spray foam. At R-7.1 per inch, it insulates, air-seals, and blocks moisture in one layer, and it plugs the gaps pests use to get in. Where a big open attic floor needs depth on a budget, we add blown-in fiberglass. Whether your home is in the city, across the river in Camp Hill or Mechanicsburg, or out toward Hershey, the plan starts with a free inspection.
Most of the heat a Capital Region home loses in winter slips out through a handful of places. Closed-cell foam goes where it does the most good:
Foam doesn’t sag or settle, so it keeps its R-value for decades.
Many older homes around Harrisburg have a thin, settled layer of old attic insulation. Warm air leaking through it melts the snow on the roof, and the meltwater refreezes into ice dams along the eaves. The fix is to seal the leaks in the attic floor first, then blow blown-in fiberglass to R-38 or R-49. Central Pennsylvania winters favor the higher end.
Many Capital Region homes get the best value from spray foam and blown-in together: closed-cell foam at the rim joists and seams, Owens Corning fiberglass across the open attic.
Dauphin and Cumberland Counties mix city buildings with farm country, and we insulate both. For businesses, we install commercial spray foam insulation in warehouses, manufacturing facilities, offices, and metal buildings, with schedules planned around your operations.
On Cumberland Valley farms around Carlisle, pole barn insulation with closed-cell foam stops the condensation that drips from bare steel in barns and shops.
Building new? We provide written new construction insulation specifications for plan sets, permitting, and inspection, and the best results come when we’re part of pre-construction planning.

A good estimate names the material and brand, the thickness or R-value for each area, the square footage, any prep work, and the warranty terms. Ours are free, itemized, and written after we inspect your home or building, with no hidden fees. Every installation includes a workmanship warranty, and material warranties come from the manufacturer.
The biggest factors are how many square feet we spray, how thick each area needs to be, and access: tight spaces, tall walls, and prep work add labor. Closed-cell foam costs more per inch than blown-in fiberglass, so many homes use foam where it seals best and fiberglass across the open attic. Your free inspection ends with an itemized estimate.
Plan to stay out of the sprayed area while we spray and while the foam cures, with the space ventilated. How long depends on the job, so we follow Natural Polymers' re-entry guidance and tell you when it's safe to come back in. Blown-in fiberglass doesn't need a cure time.
